Iberian Fantasy, an up-tempo samba, written and recorded by Buddy Rich at the 1984 Berlin Jazz Festival is a demanding and exciting chart, but musically quite straightforward. If you have a good lead player, this will really show him off. Many places for the drummer to shine as well. Lots of fun ensemble writing. 5 (sop lead)-4-4, p, b, d, guit. Soprano, trpt 1, bone 1 solos. Trumpet 1 to written double high G!!. Difficult.
