Composed by Early American Melody. Arranged by Judith L. Maggs. This edition: pdf. 19th Century, Christian, Gospel, Reggae, Sacred. Score. 4 pages. Maggs #1256981. Published by Maggs (A0.1692190).It's not known for sure who wrote the words to the hymn "How Firm a Foundation," but it's been a favorite hymn since the early 1800s. The melody is a stirring old American melody. This arrangement for piano is not difficult to play, and moves back and forth between strongly confident and lighter and more harmonic. Most of it is in the key of F, but it modulates into the key of G for the final chorus. It is appropriate for any sacred service.
