Hop Hop Bunny Hop Piano Method - Digital Sheet Music

(2018 EASTER PIANO COMMISSION CONSORTIUM CONTEST PIECE)BRADLEY R MEHOLICK (ASCAP)About the Piece.... HOP HOP BUNNY HOP was written for the students of the 2018 Easter Piano Consortium through the support of competing members and encouraging studio teachers.  This publication includes the title for Easy Piano, an arrangement for Beginner Piano, and a teacher accompaniment part.  The title, created by Destiny Creed of ST's Music Studio, was chosen for the rich educational value it suggested.  Ms. Creed's title was selected from entries provided by the students involved in the commission consortium.   HOP HOP BUNNY HOP raps well to the rhythm used throughout the piece. Additionally, the articulations used correlate with the title.  The word HOP can be discussed with students in association with the technique used for a nice staccato sound.  Emphases on the final hop can also be used to teach the preparatory lift at the end of each slur to position the hands for the upcoming staccato notes.  It's fun to use the choreography of the hands to imagine the relaxed wrists and hands moving like a bunny as they hop through the staccatos then scamper low to the ground through the slurs before leaping up in the air to do it all over again!About the Commission Consortium...
