String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download
By Colbie Caillat. By Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane. Arranged by Matthew Naughtin. Jazz. Score and parts. 7 pages. Matthew Naughtin #2860673. Published by Matthew Naughtin (A0.852891).
Introduced by Judy Garland in the 1944 MGM musical Meet Me in St. Louis, "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" initially had some rather depressing lyrics: "Have yourself a merry little Christmas--it may be your last." After the song was "brightened up" a bit, Frank Sinatra made a hit recording and it has become a popular holiday favorite. This lush arrangement for string quartet brings out the song's wistful sentiment along with it's tender lyricism. The file includes a full score and all four parts.
