Easy Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download
I make piano solo arrangements for my students of songs that they love! My goal is to create something that sounds beautiful as a standalone piece of music, but most importantly, that it actually makes pianistic sense. Sometimes I even hide exercises in the arrangements that I want a student to work on. All of my arrangements are usually made for a specific student, so the results will always vary.
This arrangement was made for a beginning student who had just completed Alfred's Premier Level 1B. There is a little moving around, but I tried keeping the hand shapes as equal as possible, no larger than a triad in the Left Hand. The Right Hand will have about three intervals of a sixth, one which would be better played with fingers 1 and 4. I do include fingering and some pedal markings to guide you along. The song as a whole has been condensed to the main parts. As a general rule, I often shorten vocal melodies because the piano sounds nicer this way when it is for solo performance. I also condense melodies for simpler timings. Overall, it will sound very pretty and my student was very proud of herself when she completed it. Enjoy!
