GRAZING IN THE GRASS - arranged for pep band, basketball band, jazz combo, small jazz ensemble

_______________________GRAZING IN THE GRASS - arranged for pep band, basketball band, jazz combo, small jazz ensemble_______________________A Billboard #1 chart in 1968. Perfect for longer time-outs/half-time or even on the marching field. Features a short (written) trumpet solo that is also cued in other instruments. This tune is one of those that sticks with you!The highly-flexible "BcP-Flex" scoring imitates the classic rock band sound by using only 4 "instruments/voices" - lead, rhythm, bass, and drums:Lead: Flute, Clarinets, Trumpet 1 & 2Rhythm: Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Horn, Trombone/Euphonium, TC BaritoneBass: Electric Bass, Bari Sax, Tuba (this chart will work without electric bass)Drums: There is no written drum set part as it is often easier to get the drummer to "pick-up" the tune by listening to the original recording/chart. The score does contain a suggested cowbell part if you have an extra percussionist. This piece is a little more demanding than most pieces listed below in that: A) it uses several enharmonic notes (such as E#). However, the pattern is easily learned and repeated multiple times throughout the piece. FYI, the use of the enharmonics made it easier to read for the player), and B) clean articulation of the repeated 16th-notes is required (but can be single-tongued due to moderate tempo).Parts are formatted to fit in a flip-folder, but print on letter-sized paper if you prefer to use 3-ring binders.__________________________To see these other high-energy titles in this series, click www.sheetmusicplus.com/search?Ntt=bcp-flexBarbara Ann (Beach Boys)Blitzkrieg Bop (Ramones)Blues Brothers Riff ("I Can’t Turn You Loose" - Otis Redding)Come & Get It (Selena Gomez)Grazing in the Grass (Hugh Masekela)Hey!
