Georgia’s Horn – F or Eb Horn Solo with Concert Band: This piece was written for my niece, Georgia Cotter, who at the time was learning to play the French Horn at school. It is written in a comfortable range for the French Horn. Hopefully one day she will perform it.
It consists of a repeating 3/4 theme mainly played by Solo Horn or Horn section, with various countermelodies which build up at each re-statement. This version is for concert band which includes parts for Piano and Glockenspiel. An orchestral version is also available at this site. The MP3 was recorded with NotePerformer.
Grade = 3 Duration 3:50 mins.
