Wonderful melodies
Deutcher’s melodies have a special place in my heart. I’ve only played through a couple of them so far, but I can tell they’ll get me back into playing. I thought this would be the perfect way to get myself back into piano after three years of not really caring about it, and since this book is more advanced than her other book of piano songs, I decided to give it a go. It’s either an intermediate book and I’m very out of practice, or it’s an advanced book and it’ll take some patience before I can give the melodies the beauty they deserve. The print is clear and easy to read, and there are clear indications for the tempo at which everything should be played. There are no guides for fingering though, so that needs to be figured out by yourself.

Wonderful Book of New Music
This is a wonderful book of piano music from a very young composer. This is orginal music, some of it transposed from her other compositions. Each piece has background information of when the 'melody' was created, or how she simplified the composition so that friends could more easily play it. This music gives me great joy, even as I struggle withsome of the pieces, but it's worth the work ofbringing it to life. I can only hope she continues to compose original piano music. There is a wide range of difficulty for everyone....some you'll be able to sight read, while others need further mastery of 6 flats (one of the most beautiful compositions). It's now my favorite book of piano music.of piano music.

Sweet Music
I cannot wait to begin learning the sweet pieces in this promising music book. Even a few bars in one of them cheered me up when I was feeling very, very sad. The complexity of the scores given the age of the composer is astounding.Thank you Alma for brightening the world!
