This work is written for the younger, less experienced trombonist, and is based on the hymn tune "Aurelia", with the usual text being "The Church's One Foundation". The range is only an octave and the rhythms are well within the capabilities of a middle school trombonist. It would be perfect as a prelude, offertory, postlude, or special music! This is the first movement of the suite. Look for the second (based on "Picardy") or the 2020 Suite of three movements, all available here on SMP!
