Afton Water is the tune most closely associated with Robert Burns' poem, FLOW GENTLY, SWEET AFTON. It was written by Jonathan Spilman in 1837.   Afton Water is sometimes used as a tune for Away in a Manger.  This arrangement for handbells 4 octaves can be used throughout the year, but can also be played in the Christmas season.
