These were most likely the result of his lessons to write in the polyphonic style of Palestrina.These pieces were cataloged using an "H", which stands for Willy Hess, a musicologist who researched and organized all of Beethoven's unpublished works well after his death.I scored these trios for 2 C flutes and alto.
