Festival of Mabon is an original work for large concert band. The title refers to the ancient pagan/celtic celebration of the autumnal equinox. The piece was completed in September of 2022. The tonality of this work is both tonal and atonal, with original harmonies. It depicts a festival with much energy, and powerful use of the brass and percussion, and is not a typical band piece. The Festival work can be performed without the contrabass clarinet, E-flat clarinet and alto clarinet if necessary. The audio file is only a computer generated realization, as no live recordings have been made as of this date. The baritone part is in bass clef. A treble clef version is available by contacting the composer at ddolatow@me.com Set of Parts included. Score is 11 x 17, parts 8.5 x 11.
