Fanfare for the Common Man

Basically the score was really good -the only thing that baffled me was that the french horn part was in the same key as the trumpets.

Fanfare

Music showed me exactly what I wanted to see. After reviewing the score & parts, I donated the publication to my grand-daughter's middle school band library.I rank this music at an intermediate level because of the note range expected of each player. This may not be difficult for the brass section of an adult band/orchestra, but presents a challenge for students lust learning their instruments.

Great piece!

The Detailed Description contains some errors. The score calls for three trumpets and three trombones, not four and two; and the Percussion part is not for a Set, but rather for a Bass Drum and a Tam-Tam (two players). It's a magnificent piece, but not easy. It requires, among other things, three trumpets playing high C's in unison in a very exposed setting.
