UPC: 785147861508. English. Text Source: Ephrem the Syrian, 4th c., Isaiah 40:8, Psalm 102:5; Translation: Sebastian Brock. Text by Ephrem the Syrian. Scripture: Isaiah 40:8, Psalm 102:5.

This is a reflective piece to consider for later in the Palm Sunday liturgy. The refrain presents the image of children laying flowers before the King, the verses reflect on the vanity of life, but also on the constancy of the Word. The music seems to strike a happy medium between recalling the joyful procession and anticipating the doleful crucifixion. Oboe or other C Instrument.
