"Esperando na Janela" is a song by accordionist, singer and composer Targino Gondim, in partnership with Manuca Almeida and Raimundinho do Acordeon, released in 1999 on an independent album of the same name. Discovered by Regina Casé, it was incorporated into the soundtrack of the 2000 film *Eu, Tu, Eles*, sung by Gilberto Gil. In the same year, the song was re-recorded by the sertanejo duo Rionegro & Solimões and included as a bonus track on the album *Bate o Pé - Ao Vivo*, becoming one of the duo's biggest hits.In 2001, Targino won the Latin Grammy for "Best Brazilian Song" for the song, and in 2004 it was the most played song in Brazil that year.
