Published by University of North Texas - Gene Puerling Collection (A0.893242).This stunning a cappella ballad arrangement of the Johnny Mandel/Johnny Mercer song "Emily" was penned in 1971 for The Singers Unlimited and still holds up as one of the most beautiful Gene Puerling charts ever written! It was recorded on their debut album, "A Cappella" (and contained in the "Magic Voices" box set). This is NOT a transcription, but an authentic edition created from the handwritten manuscript of Gene Puerling. The majority of this piece is divided into six parts, with some four- and five-part sections with lush harmonies in a variety of textures, making this a rubato ballad-lovers delight! (Level V)
