Fun & Rewarding Elton John!
I absolutely love playing these Elton John arrangements! Phillip Keveren has done a fantastic job transforming these pop hits into beautiful classical piano pieces. As an adult intermediate learner, I find them challenging yet incredibly rewarding to play. It's so enjoyable to recognize the melodies and feel like I'm playing something truly special. Perfect for relaxing at the piano.

Solid Arrangements for Piano Solo

Elton John for Classical Piano
I liked some Phillip Kevern's other arrangements (e.g. Beatles), but was disappointed by the ones for Elton John - in a word... boring.

Not up to Keveren par
I absolutely LOVE Keveren's Beatles and Gershwin books, but these Elton John arrangements are terrible. His other arrangements are clever and fit the character of the songs. Out of the 15 songs I give only Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word a B. The rest are so bad I will probably never play them again. Very disappointing.

Philip Keveren Arrangements
Love Philip Keveren arrangements and always buy anything new that comes out if I am interested in the songs. The arrangements have beautiful chords and take some time to work through but definitely worth the effort. Most of the music I have that he has done would consider advanced. Particularly like the Lion King & Don't let the sun go down on me in this book. The only other thing I would say is please Mr. Keveren arrange more songs!!!!

Excellent Piano Solos
I really like these piano solo arrangements. Especially the arrangements for Your Song and Little Jeannie. I love that Phillip Keveren was able to intertwine the classical elements throughout all of the songs. Essentially, you are playing very classical-type music with the melodies of each Elton John song.

Read this before buying
I wish I would have reviewed all of the options for Elton John music before ordering. This book is for you if you have someone to sing the melody while you are playing--no words, no melody in this book.
