Published by John Murphy (A0.841156).Do-Re-Mi from THE SOUND OF MUSIC is a fun piece to play as an instrumental guitar piece. An excellent tune to teach a singer solfa. The tune, though, is not so simple as it sounds as it travels thru several keys. Starting in C, it then hits G at bar 21 with the introduction of D7 to G chord , followed by E7 to Am key. It closes the cycle of keys with C7 to F and slips effortlessly back thru G7 to C. The guitar arrangement ends with a two octave C major scale - a nod to a study by the great guitarist composer Carcassi.
