Concerto in G by Wilhelmine von Bayreuth String Orchestra - Sheet Music

By Wilhelmine von Bayreuth

The concerto in g for harpsichord and string orchestra was composed in 1734 and is therefore one of the earliest concerts of its kind. Up to now the original solo part was missed. Thanks to extensive investigations the musicologist and harpsichordist Irene Hegen found the lost parts including the harpsichord solo part. In comparison to the previously known concerto Irene Hegen also discovered an enriched version of the composition. A detailled preface and critical commentary as well as facsimile pages are added in this edition.First PublicationCONTENTAllegro/Cantabile Andante/Gavotta I/II
