I decided to make a collection of my favorite Christmas memories as a child and then as a parent. This is the 3rd song in the collection. It is for duet and piano. In every song, the refrain uses the same lyrics but has a different melody. There are 4 songs in the collection. It is about going for a drive one Christmas Eve when we saw a blinking light in the sky. We convinced ourselves it was Rudolph pulling Santa's sleigh. We went for a drive

One Christmas Eve

To see the pretty sights

We saw a red light

Blinking on and off

And much to our delight

It was Rudolph

 

Rudolph pulling Santa’s sleigh

Way up in the sky

We couldn’t see Santa cause

They were flying way too high

Thinking about what happened

When we finally made it home

We caught brother eating one
