Not really sure I agree with those who have said this book should be graded lower -- I find the Nutcracker pieces quite challenging, especially if you want to play along to the recording because it is quite fast. The medleys are great arrangements and sound really pretty.

I used these At the Xmas Eve service where I am music director. The flute player and I easily put them together in one short practice, as they are easy to play, but don't sound overly simplified. The piano accompaniment is tasteful, and the congregation enjoyed the performance.

I just played through this book and loved it. I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful arrangements: not your usual bill-of-fare. The four movements from the Nutcracker can be played as a suite or separately: can make for a nice presentation. Interesting choice of old carols not often heard in mainstream Christmas. Orchestral accompanyment is very nice. Playing requires some delicate control in the third octave at times. Very enjoyable.
