Carpenters Anthology
Now I can sing along with Karen to the accompaniment of my guitar. I'm beginner. Maybe my neighbors will forgive me. Just waiting for the second volume.

Nice Collection
This is the most inclusive collection of their music I've seen and I was pleased with the arrangements, which are better than most piano/guitar/voice pieces. I was somewhat disappointed that Now, from the Voice of the Heart album wasn't included. I was thrilled that it contains Where Do I Go From Here and You're the One I Love, which I consider to be two of Karen's finest performances from the Lovelines album. I wish Hal Leonard would offer another play-along and include these 2 songs.

Good anthology
I bought this book to get an overview of the Carpenters music and I think it delivers. The songs are pretty basic; nothing amazing about the music or anything. But because the chords are written its easy to improvise if you know the tune. I think the book contains most of their most well known tunes so if you like their music I'd recommend it.

Not exactly a must buy
Bought this book because i've heard some of their songs and they're beautiful - Yesterday Once More, Rainy Days and Mondays, One Love. but the music is more country than i thought - the themes of the songs are a bit repetitive after a while and some of the words just seem far too soppy and idealistic. As far as playing the music goes though I guess its good enough, nothing too hard in there, i've been playing seriously for 4 years. Not vital but on the other hand it's not like there's anything majorly wrong with it...

Carpenter's Anthology
While I am pleased with the Anthology, I am sorry that the vocal was set in that low key. It is much too difficult for most women to sing in. I purchased the book for a teenage girl with a higher voice. She has chosen to keep it, since she is very fond of the music.

Carpenters
This is a good overview of the Carpenters thru the years. Shame though there wasn't more from the lovely cd Voices of the Heart.
