For the first seventeen bars ('measures') she is accompanied by a single strummed guitar, creating an atmosphere of lonesome beauty from the first plaintive notes. At bar 18, synthesised strings enter - very softly - and the whole comes to rest on a quiet, sustained E-minor chord, before bursting out again into a short, but beautifully-crafted instrumental solo, with bluegrass banjo, mandolin and bass added to the mix.
