Carlos Durão (Flute and/or Violin Duo) Woodwind Ensemble - Digital Sheet Music

This work is a tribute to the writer Carlos Durão Rodrigues (*Madrid, 1943), distinguished member of the Grammar Commission of the Academia Galega da Língua Portuguesa. Since he appreciates my works and we are academic colleagues, we shared some creative conversations that inspired this Bagpipes Duo. The work builds on the complexes {3,3,2,3}, {2,2,3,2,2,1,3,3}, {6,5} and {9,7} in 5 sections in a gentle increasing gradation until the final outcome.
There is a version, in different tessitura, for B b Soprano Saxophone and/or B b Clarinet Duo and another for Flute and/or Violin Duo.

Esta obra é uma homenagem ao escritor Carlos Durão Rodrigues (*Madrid, 1943), destacado membro da Comissão de Gramática da Academia Galega da Língua Portuguesa. Por ser apreciador das minhas obras e sermos colegas académicos, partilhamos algumas conversas criativas que inspiraram este Duo de Gaitas de fole. A obra constrói-se sobre os complexos {3,3,2,3}, {2,2,3,2,2,1,3,3}, {6,5} e {9,7} em 5 secções numa suave gradação crescente até o desfecho final.
Há uma versão, em tessitura diferente, para Duo de Saxofone/s Soprano em Si b e/ou Clarinete/s Si b e outra para Duo de Flauta/s e/ou Violino/s.
