Composed by Felix Ventouras. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 8 pages. Chicago, TX Publishing #3455001. Published by Chicago, TX Publishing (A0.1028289).

Candle on Fire is from the ballet Three Sisters by Andrey Bartenev premiered in Moscow in 2009. In this piece, from Chekov's masterpiece, the music reflects the atmosphere of old, when people would sit around the candlelight telling stories to pass the time. The piece opens by setting the atmosphere of an open room, followed by a descent into the story telling. An adventurous story unfolds, and upon reaching a climax, the listener is gently brought back into the room, with a new context and perception. .
