Building Technique With Beautiful Music Books I-IV

I recommend this series by Samuel Applebaum for anyone serious about learning cello. I am over age 50 and mostly self taught on the cello. I found them very helpful, considering my lack of outside instruction. Throughout the books you will see bowing styles introduced and well explained, using simple pieces for learning them. These also include helpful hints on bowing direction and which part of the bow you should be playing on at various locations throughout the pieces, for those of us who tend to forget to use the whole bow.
