A simple, repetitive theme of twelve notes floats amidst an atmospheric electronic soundscape, rising to a majestic and emotional theme as the orchestration gradually fills with sounds made from people, not computers. The electronic track stops. The technology stops. All we hear are live musicians as the conductor, formerly tethered to unrelenting demands of a click track, is finally able to allow the ensemble to breathe freely. To perform the piece, you'll need an audio system capable of playing the prerecorded audio tracks from a laptop computer via a small digital audio interface connected to an audio mixer.
