Composed by Traditional Australian Folk Song. Arranged by Brendan Elliget MAGA 537. Folk. Score and parts. 40 pages. BJE Music #4322387. Published by BJE Music (A0.750867).

"In South Australia, I was born Heave away, haul away South Australia round Cape Horn We’re bound for South Australia
Heave away, you rolling king Heave away, haul away Heave away, oh hear me sing We’re bound for South Australia"
"Bound for South Australia" or "South Australia" is a sea shanty used by the wool traders who worked the clipper ships between Australian ports and London. This traditional tune is well known as a farewell song, sung at the docks as the big ships were leaving.
The song has two distinct parts: The "Shanty" and "Halyard".

This is a short arrangement for concert band. I also used this tune in my "Australian Folksong Medley No. 2" for concert band. If you use this arrangement, let me know how it goes.
Parts include Eb Horns, Bb Bass, and Eb Bass.

Grade = 2.5   Duration = 2:35 mins.
