I spent a week visiting Beijing (magnificent historical treasures ! A must see) and, as I use to do when visiting a new city, I composed a music with the name of the place where the music has been written. The starting points of this composition were the numbers 9, 8 and 6. In China, 6 means “everything will go smoothly”, 8 means “to make a fortune” and 9 means “long-lasting”. So the signature is 9/8 and I tried to use 6 notes per measure (not always for sure). Written for symphony orchestra with the addition of bagpipes and electric guitar and sub-bass. I hope you will enjoy.
