Stewart (A0.955855).Beer Barrel Polka (Roll Out the Barrel). composed by Czech musician Jaromir Vejvoda (1927), evolved to become famous ‘round the world, especially because of its many transformations in pre-World War II Europe. In America, it became popular for its English lyrics about a "garden party that livens up when the beer begins to flow". This song, incidentally, has been ‘unofficially adopted’ by Wisconsin as a ‘state song’ and is often played for Wisconsin sporting events, not to mention beer halls and gardens everywhere. This arrangement is for a 4-part SATB ensemble with piano accompaniment. Performance time: 2:05+ Its novelty makes this a perfect ‘ask the audience to join in’ number.
