Bach's Orchestral Suite No.3 in D major contains one of the most iconic and well-known pieces for strings ever written - the Air on the G String. But this air is part of a larger suite for Baroque Orchestra, and the other four movements are also well-written and fun to play. Like many suites written in the Baroque era, it has an Overture followed by dance movements. In this case the dance movements are the famous Air, Gavottes 1 & 2, Bourree and Gigue - all fun dances to play. This suite is ideal for events like weddings, school concerts or functions. It functions easily both as a concert piece and background music for events like wedding receptions.
