Jonathan Haessler, by building more and more complex polyrhythms asks to the performer for a total independence of hands and feet. A particular accent is put on the ' voicing ' (highlight a voice with regard to the other one). The use of timpani mallets give to the tones of skins an original touch where the sweetness and the sensualism contrasts with these enormous accents in the rougher tone.
