Published by Robert Delfausse (A0.766953).This is the slow movement from my Sonata for Flute, Cello, and Guitar, which I wrote for the wonderful trio Tritonis. The 10/8 time signature allows the musicians to play in either 5/4 (5 quarter-note beats) or a 10/8 that divides the bar into two groups of 5 eighth notes. For most of the piece, the musicians play in these opposing meters at the same time. If you listen to the MP3 on this website, I think you'll find that the effect is not at all disjointed, and actually heightens the lyricism of the music. The piece is suitable for advanced or professional musicians. Duration: 4 minutes, 53 seconds.
