Certain simplifications have been made but without losing the essential elements of the song. The structure is the same, except for a much shorter ending, although a longer ending could easily be improvised. The fanfare introduction (often omitted from other arrangements of this song) is included, the guitar solo in the Middle 8 has been retained and the bass line is close to the original recording. This song is a popular request to be played as the Recessional music at a civil wedding ceremony, and so this arrangement is perfect for wedding pianists. As with most arrangements of pop and rock music with syncopated and/or swing rhythms, this music is suitable for pianists of intermediate/advanced intermediate technical ability.
