All the Things You Are

Comp/Lyr.: Jerome Kern/Oscar Hammerstein II

Arr. Gerhard Guter

Voicing: SSATTB

Style: a cappella ballad

The harmonic treatment of this ballad arrangement will bring to mind the sophisticated harmonies of The Singers Unlimited. The lush introduction sets the harmonic tone for this six-part arrangement, which features a soprano lead. Expression and phrasing markings are indicated throughout, as are suggested breaths. Text painting is enhanced by dynamics, variations in texture and dissonance, as well as vowel elisions within the harmony.  Very challenging.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
