All Out Of Love by Air Supply SSAATTBB - Digital Sheet Music

By Air Supply

This is an a capella arrangement of 'All out of love' for chamber choir (10 singers: SSS-AAA-TT-BB). Originally sung and recorded by Air Supply (1980), this arrangement belongs to a set of three arrangements of songs by Air Supply. The other two arrangements are 'Lost in love’ (1980) and 'Making love out of nothing at all' (1983). The arrangement of 'All out of Love' explores contrapuntal textures in the style of the 16th century composer Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (1526 - 1594). Formally, the arrangement includes a newly composed introduction and transitions between the verses. These are based on the opening four notes of the song's melody and become a motive for some of the accompanying textures to the melody. The soprano, alto, tenor, and bass parts are often divided to create elaborate contrapuntal textures. While the textures of the arrangement refer to polyphonic writing of the 16th century, the harmonies are based on extended chords alluding to Impressionism. The MP3 audio file is a demo recording using voice plug-ins.
