Published by Benjamin Karaca (A0.946354).This piece is also known as Air on the G String. It is the second movement from Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 and is one of Bach's most famous compositions. Originally composed for two violins, viola, and basso continuo.
I originally wrote this arrangement for a Saxophone Quartet in the classical SATB lineup (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone Sax). However, the second part also works well for Soprano Sax, and the third part can be played by an Alto Saxophone. Apart from a few minor changes, I stayed very true to the original composition. I haven't added any articulations and have retained the key of D major.
Note: Having two Sopranos in a Sax Quartet is highly unusual. If you have the opportunity, I strongly recommend giving it a try. Especially in the SSAB lineup, this piece has a lot of potential.
