fun, but cultural appropriation
this is a catchy song. however, it is NOT based on a traditional African carol. it is a Christian appropriation of a traditional African folksong. There is a difference.

Christmas fun
My singing group of six ladies found this great fun, very easy to learn, a change from some of the other more difficult pieces we do.They liked having a go at some percussion parts. To me it felt as though it needed a key change in the middle. (page 7)

upbeat and fun
We were looking for something different for our a cappella women's choir and found this piece to really fit the bill. It is easy to learn and so much fun to sing. The percussion instruments add just the right touch to this upbeat tune.

A Change in Pace
This is a fun, yet challenging piece for middle school choirs. It is different for most people, and has a nice change of atmosphere. I would love to hear another choir sing that song.
