The text for this Eucharistic hymn was written by St. Thomas Aquinas during the 13th century. As the hymn is in honor of the Most Blessed Sacrament, it is especially appropriate for Church use at Corpus Christi, Eucharistic Adoration or devotions. This meditative piece may also be appreciated for home devotional use, or for performance at programs or recitals. Advanced Intermediate level. Not overly difficult, but some minor challenges re: changes in meter, accidentals and octave work. This piece may be an enjoyable and rewarding work to play for those at this level.
