Adoro Te Devote is a collection of fifty-five new tunes. Most of them are very simple, in different styles, showing different musical influences like the Brazilian folk tunes and rhythms that were influenced by music from Portugal, Africa, Italy, as well as from other Latin American countries. Adoro Te Devote has several of the oldest texts of the Christian hymnody, such as texts by Thomas de Aquino, Bianoco da Siena, and Clement of Alexandria.
