Oh, I take refuge in Amida Buddha,
My Savior, and my Lord!

My Savior and my Lord!
Amida Buddha saves first the evil ones, then the good,
Thus I entrust my entire destiny
To His Great Boundless Compassion.

All other Buddhas in all ten directions
Praise His Holy Name.
Amida Buddha has secured
The Salvation of every living being
Throughout the ten directions.
Only when their karma ripens
Will they accept His Gift of Buddhahood
When they all go to His Land of Peace and Bliss,
His Pure Land,

And in that glorious Land of Bliss
They too will save all the beings,
The beings who suffer in the realm of samsara,
And fulfill the Great Bodhisattva Vow,
To save all beings.
