Score & Part The poems in this cycle of songs were written over the course of 5 years and each poem is a reflection on my experience of living in the country with my family for 20 years in the Driftless region of Wisconsin. Amish Sarabande is a surreal description of the annual ploughing ritual that my Amish neighbor undertook each spring after long and severe winters. Heaven's Feast was inspired by the halcyon days of summer in full bloom on our 30 acre homestead. Ode to an Orb Weaver pays homage to the sacred connection between mother and child and the persistent cycle of life.
