As a teacher I value this book. Good, pleasant, original selections sound more difficult than they really are- always gratifying for a late-elementary level student. If the cover weren't a little juvenile, it would be more appealing, because this a good choice for older students as well as kids. It is a standard choice in my curriculum and I hope Alfred continues it forever!
