Schumann -- Album for the Young, Op. 68 by Robert Schumann Piano Solo - Sheet Music

By Robert Schumann

Numerous selections from Schumann's Album for the Young have long been favorites of intermediate students, and few collections fail to include the Soldier's March, the Happy Farmer or the Wild Horseman. This historically informed edition of the entire collection clearly differentiates the markings of the first edition from Clara Schumann's later-edited version. Discussions of ornamentation and the collection's origin are also included.

Do you want to read a cluttered score?

If you do, then buy this product. In light gray font, the editors took the liberty of putting in markings only evident in _some_ manuscripts. Schirmer may not have much prestige; however, at least they commit to their markings. Who here enjoys squinting?Everyone ever would enjoy this music; however, I returned the copy because it would shame me to give such a shoddy product to a student.
