First, I'm an intermediate/advanced player and I knew this was a book for advanced players. So, it is a little over my head, but the pieces are still playable for me, albeit they will take significant more work than normal. Still, I'm very pleased with the purchase and I look forward to learning and pushing myself to learn these very well arranged pieces.

I must have 20 different books of Mark Hayes arrangements. His are my favorite of all arrangers. Of all types of arrangements (hymns, jazz, praise worship, original compositions), my favorites are hymns and his original compositions. Im really hoping that one day he will compose arrangements for a few select Genevan Psalms.

This is the third copy I have bought of this book, because the other two wore out from use. Mark Hayes creates beautiful, intelligent arrangements that fit well under the hand. I especially appreciate the transitions he created between a few of the pieces - they work well for communion music. [As the Deer is one of my favorites.] The spiral binding ensures the pages turn easily and lie flat and the paper is a good weight.

This is a fantastic book. There are many, many beautiful pieces, all elegantly arranged. The pieces are difficult enough to make them fun to play and they are have the potential to convey great emotion.

I have one of these, and most of the songs- I would say, are very breath-taking. They are really not that hard though, some are arranged on the easier side, but Mark Hayes is really good at what he does. Even though some notes are quite simple, they don't take away how music could affect people's emotions.

This is an AMAZINGLY JOYFUL AND UPBEAT collection of worship music. There are a lot of fast pieces. It is definitely advanced. I play organ and piano for church, and I have to practice these for a much longer time to get them to the awesome stage. This book is definitely worth the hours of enjoyment you'll have practicing. I feel the joy going out to The Lord when I play these songs.

Lovely and interesting arrangements from Mark Hayes. This book leans toward more contemporary songs; but many, if not most, have become well known and should be familiar to your congregation. As one reviewer noted, the book is spiral bound, which is a plus to any pianist. I notice the difficulty level is rated an average of 9, but do not find most of the arrangements too hard to play for a fairly advanced musician, with a bit of practice. Listening to the CD helps in learning. You'll be pleased with this book, yet another Mark Hayes winner!

I usually purchase music in person where I am able to view the contents from cover to cover. I took a leap of faith and bought this book online. I am glad I did. I play frequently for church services and am always looking for something new to play. This book has a wonderful variety. I especially like that some of the hymns have an optional transitional line to the next hymn.

This is a collection of some quite beautiful piano solos that are fun to play as well. The chording is very contemporary; perhaps a bit too contemporary for some older audiences but very pleasing to a younger crowd, in my experience. My only wish is that there were more arrangements of some of the more traditional hymns. I was looking forward to more pieces that would be familiar to my older audience. I am still looking for a book of the traditional hymns with more contemporary arrangements. But in the meantime, this book is really quite nice!
