The Suite Brasileira No. 3 blend forms of cultural expression of a specific region of Brazil. the Northeast, involving part of the state of Bahia, the great state of Pernambuco and some of Alagoas and Rio Grande do Norte. In the process of choosing the dances or trad- itional forms to compose this painting I came across the curious fact that among all the forms of expression of this region there were five starting with the letter C. It left me then no doubt in choosing these five.
Cantoria Nordestina it is an oral expression of music that is practiced in northeastern Brazil involving folkloric manifestations and the Cordel literature.
Capoeira is a mixture ofdance and martial art that originated during the slavery period in Brazil and is very associated with the state of Bahia.
Coco is one of the strong rhythms from the Northeast and typically part of the set of Cantorias once it is almost always accompanied by lyrics.
Cantiga do Sertao is a form of song which uses the northeastern scale (with augmented fourth) to build up its melody. Caboclinhos is a dance of fast movements with its origins on folkloric manifestations from the state of Pernambuco.

La Suite Brasileira No. 3 mélange des formes d'expression culturelle d'une région spécifique du Brésil : le Nordeste, comprenant une partie de l'État de Bahia, le grand État du Pernambouc ainsi qu'une partie des États d'Alagoas et de Rio Grande do Norte. Dans le processus de sélection des danses ou formes traditionnelles pour composer ce tableau, j'ai découvert un fait curieux : parmi toutes les formes d'expression de cette région, cinq commençaient par la lettre C. Cela m'a permis de choisir sans hésitation ces cinq formes.

Cantoria Nordestina est une expression orale de la musique pratiquée dans le nord-est du Brésil, impliquant des manifestations folkloriques et la littérature du Cordel.

Capoeira est un mélange de danse et d'art martial qui a vu le jour pendant la période de l'esclavage au Brésil et est très associée à l'État de Bahia.

Coco est l'un des rythmes forts du Nord-Est et fait typiquement partie de l'ensemble des Cantorias, étant presque toujours accompagné de paroles.

Cantiga do Sertão est une forme de chanson qui utilise l'échelle nord-est (avec une quarte augmentée) pour construire sa mélodie. Caboclinhos est une danse aux mouvements rapides, originaire des manifestations folkloriques de l'État de Pernambuco.
