This is a great piece to play. It is fun, somewhat challenging and different. It's great to play a different style of music other than the usual flute concertos. There are 7 movements, so there is plenty to work on!

The entire suite is charming and a lot of fun! Back in the late 1970s/early 1980s, I accompanied each of our daughters at state high school music contest, each with a different section of the suite, and they (we!) enjoyed great ratings and good times together. Now, thirty years later, we wanted to do some again just for nostalgia's sake, but the flute parts had gotten lost. Still having the piano part, I really appreciate the ability to purchase just the flute part. Highly recommended if you like traditional straight-ahead jazz. Usually the submissions for contest are of legitimate classical literature, so we took a bit of a chance with this, but the judges appreciated that we demonstrated attention to all the judging criteria, so we found it a good teaching medium that made the student WANT to do it!
