I gave it 4 stars but it should be 5. I will explain why. First of all the content of this book is worth 10 stars. Great arrangements of timeless classics with good tips for fingering. But here comes the BUT. The actual book itself is badly designed. I received the book last September and now March 2021 the pages are still flapping all over the place. I have to keep using bull clips and other clips to keep the pages where they should be. I can keep pushing and folding over the book and some pages will still move. If I had known this i would have still bought the book, but because of it I cannot give it the 5 or 10 stars it deserves.

I absolutely love this book. It is my go to when I want to find a new song. It is definitely not beginner. I would say early intermediate, but the arrangements are so beautiful with a nice jazz flair to it. The book makes me want to keep learning. A must have. Dan Coats makes learning fun for the adult beginner and you feel like you're really playing music. I am 61 and loving it. It Has always been my dream to play piano, but never had the time. Thank you Dan!

Dan Coates' arrangements of these songs are a little more complex than most easy piano, and strikes a great balance between not too hard, and not too easy. For example, he uses many broken chords which make the pieces very pretty, and more interesting than single left hand chords, but not too difficult to play. All of his arrangements are lyrical and true to the originals. I really like that his arrangements strike a good balance of not too easy, not too hard. Perfect for adult players. It is hard to find pieces in the range that are not beginner pieces, but not too complex for the casual adult player, and this fills the bill. Song list is varied with many well-known pieces. Highly recommend.
