    unique lh ideas...

evans like silver, garner, & jamal all use the rootless 9ths,11ths,13ths voicing a lot. it's interesting they all have their own unique style. another thing was his different use of the art tatum ROOT-7-10 LH VOICING. BILL rolls hs 10th's down 10th-ROOT - UP TO 7TH; SUSTAINING ALL 3 NOTES AS ONE CHORD.THIS ALSO WORKS ON THE TRIAD 10TH R-5-10. AND HIS RHYTHMIC COUNTERPOINT LH POLY RHTMS ALONG WITH NOR ALONG W MELODY. I LOVED THE ALBUMS FROM YRS AGO. GREAT BOOK!

    More than pleased!

I bought this book to see Dolphin Dance in score and I was not disappointed. It is the full piano part of an actual recording. Let me say that I have no interest in widely known popular song arrangements. I was more that pleased to find full scores of other pieces as well, You Must Believe in Spring, and I Will Say Goodbye. I'm hooked on Bill Evans riffs!
