PDQ Bach Sheet Music

P.D.Q. Bach (1807-1742) is a fictitious composer, invented by the musical satirist Peter Schickele. Schickele has made a career out of performing the "discovered" works of the "only forgotten son" of the Bach family. Schickele/P.D.Q. Bach's music combines parodies of musicological scholarship, elements of the Baroque and Classical styles, and of course, some slapstick comedy. (For example, in Abassoonata, the pianist is "late to the gig" so the bassoon player must attempt to play the bassoon and piano at the same time.) Enjoy these witty and entertaining pieces by P.D.Q. Bach!
